Early Childhood Coordinator

Early Childhood Coordinator: The Early Childhood Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of the Infant and Toddler classrooms to ensure the curriculum, lesson plans, and learning environment meet Early Head Start Performance standards.  The Early Childhood Coordinator will work in conjunction with the Director of Education to support staff in implementing age-appropriate activities that nurture, teach, and develop children ages 0-3. The Early Childhood Coordinator will model and train staff in the evidence-based program Teacher-Child Interaction Training (TCIT), which ensures a higher quality of care, creates a positive learning environment, helps increase social and emotional development, and limits classroom disruption by helping children focus on progress not failure. The Early Childhood Coordinator is responsible for the direct care and safety of the children in the Daycare program.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and three years experience in direct service working with infants and toddlers, their families or programs that serve them OR Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and two year experience in direct service working with infants and toddlers, their families or programs that serve them. F/T, 40hrs/wk
