Director of Education

The Director of Education is responsible for overseeing lesson plans that implement age appropriate activities that nurture and teach children 0-5 years not yet enrolled in kindergarten with an emphasis on programming for Preschool and Universal PreK (UPK) classrooms. The Director of Education will model and train staff in the evidence-based program Teacher-Child Interaction Training (TCIT), which ensures a higher quality of care, creates a positive learning environment, helps increase social and emotional development, and limits classroom disruption by helping children focus on progress not failure. The Director of Education is responsible for the direct care and safety of the children in the Daycare program.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Current New York State Teaching Certification Birth through Grade 2, Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent, preferred minimum of two years of Preschool or Universal Pre-k experience.  Full time, 40 hours per week, EOE
