Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children that fulfill the standards of care recognized by the Family Help Center, the Office of Children and Family Services, and NYS Quality Stars. Plan and implement a developmentally and age appropriate curriculum taking into consideration the needs of the individual child while encouraging the child’s social, cognitive, physical and emotional development. Maintain positive, professional relationships with parents, children, coworkers and the agency.
Minimum qualifications: Must possess an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent and 1 year experience working with children (Bachelor’s degree preferred) Must be able to work effectively with children/youth with behavioral, emotional and/or mental health challenges and their families. Meet all applicable NYS OCFS licensing regulations. Full-time, 40 hrs/week.
