Assistant Youth Development Coordinator – The Assistant Youth Coordinator needs to have experience working with at-risk youth who are involved or have had involvement with the Erie County Children’s System of Care. The Assistant Youth Coordinator must be able to engage with youth of varying ages (13-22yrs) who have diverse experiences and needs. The Assistant Youth Coordinator should have knowledge of Restorative Justice practices, crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, and trauma informed care principles.
The Assistant Youth Coordinator is responsible for working with the Youth Empowerment and Leadership team to respond to referrals to the program, plan and facilitate youth meetings, and coordinate transportation for youth to attend meetings and events.
The Assistant Youth Coordinator will bring creativity and innovation to the program, while demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work/Human Services with one year experience in developing youth leadership. Must possess NYS driver’s license, own car, and acceptable driving record.
